About Connect
- Connect is every 2nd Friday of each month 7:00-9:00pm 633 west 100 south, slc ut 84111
- Connect is a community art event held for Utah artists, teachers, and art enthusiasts. It is a free event where ANY artist can show their work from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
- Throughout the evening, artists and community members vote for their favorite 3 pieces.
- After each event the votes are tallied-- and the artists who receive the most votes become eligible for prize money at the end of the year. (Previous voting results are posted below)
Evening Lineup
- 7:00-8:00pm *Vote for favorite art *Network with local artists
- 8:00-8:15pm *Guest speaker lectures on evening's theme (art does not have to coincide with theme in order to be submitted)
- 8:15-9:00pm *Q&A with guest speaker *Vote for favorite art *Provide feedback for submitting artists *Network with local artists
PLEASE REMEMBER
- An artist can only bring 3 pieces of easily displayable art.
- All art must be brought the night of the event.
- All art must be taken the night of the event.
Prize Distribution
- 1st Prize is awarded to artist who has been most frequently voted in the top 3 of all the Connect monthly events
- 2nd Prize is awarded to 1st place selection at end of year ceremony
- 3rd Prize is awarded to 2nd place selection at end of year ceremony
