CHANGING NATURE: EBB & FLOW
Fine Art Exhibit
Tracy Aviary, in conjunction with the Utah Arts Alliance, is currently seeking entries for “Changing Nature: Ebb & Flow”, a juried exhibit of original art work by Utah artists, to be held November 10 – December 14, 2006 at the Mill at Tracy Aviary. Exhibit entry is open to artists of all ages working in all media in a realistic or representational manner reflecting the theme, the ebb and flow of our natural environment and world.
Submissions will be made in person at the Chase Mill at Tracy Aviary,(Deadline over) 589 East 1300 South (inside Liberty Park), on Saturday November 4th and Sunday November 5th, between 1:00 and 4:00 pm. No slides or digital format entries will be accepted. All art works must be delivered ready to be hung, with necessary hanging materials securely attached. The fee is $5 per entry. Entry forms will be available at Tracy Aviary, and online at www.utaharts.org and www.tracyaviary.org.
Show Dates: November 10, 2006 through December 14, 2006. Opening Night Reception: Friday, November 10, 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Pieces not accepted for the exhibit must be picked up on Tuesday, November 7, or Wednesday, November 8, between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Tracy Aviary and the Utah Arts Alliance are not responsible for pieces not picked up during these times.

Utah Arts Alliance to present “MAN’S BEST FRIEND” Exhibit
The Utah Arts Alliance announces a Call for Entries for an exhibition of original art, “MAN’S BEST FRIEND” to be presented at the Utah Arts Alliance gallery, 2191 S. 300 W., #1. The exhibit will be held in conjunction with the performance of the play “Silvia”, by the Around the Globe Theater.The exhibit will be on display from Thursday November 30, through Saturday, December 23. The opening reception will be held Friday December 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the gallery.
All Utah artists, of any age, may submit up to five original art works, in any media, including photography, corresponding to the exhibit theme, “MAN’S BEST FRIEND”. All art works must contain, at a minimum, an image of a dog depicted in someway, either abstract or representational. A $10.00 per person Entry Fee will be collected with receipt of art works. Works will be juried by the Utah Arts Alliance Gallery Committee. Entry forms may be printed from the UAA web site, www.utahartsalliance.com, and will be available at the gallery on entry days. Requests for Entry Forms may be sent via e-mail to: utahartsalliance@yahoo.com.
Entries will be received Friday November 24th from 5 – 8 p.m., Saturday November 25th from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m., and Sunday November 26th from 1 – 5:00 p.m., at the Utah Arts Alliance gallery.
The play will be presented November 30th through December 9th. The art exhibit will be open during the performances and during the gallery hours listed. The play is about a man who apparently loves his dog more than his wife and the tensions this creates in the home.
All pieces must be ready to hang with required wires, hooks, tabs, etc. If it’s not ready to be hung it will not be exhibited. Sculptures and mixed media, and installation works may be submitted.
The UAA gallery will manage all sales. The gallery will retain a sales commission of 35%. Please price your works to include the commission amount.
